Winter Summer Pics

Flumserberg has a ski area encompassing three villages Tannenheim, Mittenwald and Tannenboden each are linked by road and ski lift during the winter months. The apartment is located in Tannenboden the highest of the three villages and conveniently close (walking distance)  to the main gondola that arrives from the valley floor The ski season usually runs between the middle of November and the middle/end of April. There are many kilometres of pisted runs for all abilities and a great deal of off piste for more advanced skiers. The prepared ski area ranges from 1100m to 2300m with most of the slopes grassy alp land that require only a little snow to ensure great skiing, a north and north easterly aspect for most of the mountain ski area means the snow stays in great condition for a long time.

For very young children and beginners there is a childrens ski village with magic carpets and BoBo the ski mascots. This is a very secure and safe area for children to start learning to stop and turn whilst having lots of fun.
For more advanced skiers there are regular ski school lessons. English is widely spoken . Click Ski School for more information.

There is also a two mile (3km) lift served toboggan run to add to the fun, its open daily and some evenings during the winter season, hilarious!!

The apartment is located within a few minutes walk of the mountain ski lifts and the local Swiss ski school meeting point. Its normally possible to ski back to the apartment during the winter months through a meadow at the back. Lifts open between 8am and 4.30pm.

In addition to regular downhill skiing the other activities available during the winter you can experience are.

  • Cross country skiing
  • Snow shoeing
